Pastor/ Reverend John Kelsoe

Hello everyone!

We are so excited to be coming to Marlow United Methodist Church! It is truly an honor to be serving in this wonderful community as we have been embraced with the love, hospitality, and encouragement from many members of Marlow UMC. My wife Stephanie and I have two wonderful daughters Victoria and Ana. In addition, we also have a Goldendoodle who is just over a year old named Moe.

I am currently going through the itinerant process in the UMC and in the fall, I will go before the Board of Ordained Ministry seeking to be commissioned on the Elder track. The past 3 years I have served in full-time ministry while also attending full-time seminary studies at Asbury Theological Seminary as a hybrid student and I am expected to complete my seminary studies in the spring of 2025.

A few fun facts about our family. Victoria is an avid reader as she has completed the first four books of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. She also loves to sing and perform ballet. Ana enjoys art, participates in theater plays, and has a helper’s heart. Stephanie is an avid coffee fanatic, loves to cook, and is passionate about serving the Lord!

We are so excited to be coming to Marlow and we cannot wait to get to know you and to serve the kingdom of God in Baldwin County. We are filled with joy and hope for what God has in store for this wonderful church community!

Blessings and peace,

Rev. John Kelsoe

This is a PBS documentary made a few years past with the aid of our church historian, Ronnie Manich. It is very interesting and informative. Thanks Ronnie. Here is a email-able link for your friends to copy and paste. Marlow Church History
